The Girl in the Window already gives you a gray notebook. This page is a second notebook for humans who flip too fast. Use it beside the game. It does not auto-solve. It tells you which in-game page belongs to which lock so you stop typing plant digits into the safe.

How to play: Getting Started. Full path: walkthrough. Shuffle rules: randomized puzzles.

Notebook page → lock map

  • Torn symbols + Roman numerals → bookshelf cupboard. Repair with the coat scrap. Take the mirror. Details: symbol lock.
  • Four pot silhouettes → four-digit box on the same cabinet. Count leaves in book order. Details: plant code.
  • Photo page with four framed squares / branches → window padlock after curtain projection. Lights off. Same symbol article.
  • Vampire sketch listing garlic, cross, goblet, mirror → offerings only. Order is the pinboard, not this page. Details: vampire safe.
  • Mouse / bowl sketch → trap at the hole, then pipe on the TV wall.

If a notebook page has no lock, it is story. Do not invent a combination for the diary.

Item chain checklist

Tick these in order. Skip a tick and a later lock looks broken.

  1. Candle (door unit)
  2. Umbrella + torn paper (coat)
  3. Goblet (TV wall)
  4. Notebook (bookshelf)
  5. Mirror (symbol cupboard)
  6. Matches (plant box) → light candle
  7. Plug cable (mouse hole + umbrella)
  8. Rock (pot) → break bottle → round key + glass shard
  9. Square key (socket) → tape → power TV → VHS → dial
  10. Glove (door drawer with round key)
  11. Knife (dial handle + shard)
  12. Cheese, cross, wallpaper path → oval key + light switch
  13. Electrical box with glove → outdoor lamp → curtain → indoor lights off → padlock → metal rod
  14. Floorboard → garlic; bowl; mouse; hex key; wine; screwdriver
  15. Wine + goblet; four offerings; lever

When a tick is missing, rotate the four walls before you search the internet. The controls page is about looking slowly.

Scratch pad (copy to paper)

Plant digits: _ _ _ _

Bookshelf glyphs (I–IIII): _ _ _ _

Wallpaper path: ________

Window glyphs: _ _ _ _

Pinboard order: 1. ____ 2. ____ 3. ____ 4. ____

Vampire-revealed safe: _ _ _ _

Never fill those blanks from a video. Fill them from your room.

How to use this during a Steam session

Windowed mode, this page on a second monitor, game on the first. Pause on every notebook close-up. The 31 August 2026 PC port has no built-in journal beyond Dark Dome’s book. We will not ship a javascript solver that guesses 5364 for you; that would be a lie on most saves.

What this tool is not

  • Not a redeem-code form
  • Not a damage calculator
  • Not a multiplayer ping system
  • Not an official Dark Dome app

It is a fan checklist. If a future patch adds a room, updates will say so and this list will grow. Until then, one house, one lever, one ending.

Keep the paper. Second playthroughs still shuffle. The map of pages to locks does not.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Can this tool tell me my safe code?

No. It tells you where to read it. The pinboard and portrait still have to be yours.

Do I need to print it?

A notes app works. The blanks exist so you do not mix locks.

Where is the in-game notebook?

Bookshelf on the boarded-door wall. Grab it in the first minutes of Getting Started.
