The Girl in the Window Patch Notes and Version History

The Girl in the Window is not a live-service calendar. When people search “update” they usually want a new wing of the house. Dark Dome has not added one. This page is the boring, useful version table so you can tell a store tweak from a puzzle change. Locks still randomize; that is a design rule, not a patch — see randomized puzzles.

Android (the original, 2019–2026)

• First public release: 30 November 2019 on Google Play, package air.com.darkdome.girlinthewindow (an Adobe AIR-era id that is still in use).
• Audience: 10 million-plus downloads, about 4.7 stars from on the order of 170–180 thousand ratings depending on the storefront snapshot.
• Distribution: free with ads, optional Premium IAP (ad removal, hints, secret scene).
• Requirement: Android 6.0 or later on current APKs.
• Latest public APK we tracked: 1.2.98, dated around 1–4 August 2026 (about 61 MB). Earlier 2026 drops include 1.2.91 and 1.2.90 (22 May), 1.2.87 / 1.2.86 (9 May), and 1.2.57 / 1.2.56 (27 April).

Play Store “what’s new” text has often sat on the words First version even after years of binaries. Treat that field as fluff. The house, the notebook, and the lever did not grow a second map in those APKs.

iOS (paid App Store, 2026)

• 1.0 — 13 March 2026. First iPhone listing, seller Dark Dome Studios SAC, paid app (about $1.99 on the US store).
• 2.0 — 16 April 2026. Store note: minor gameplay adjustments.
• 3.0 — 12 May 2026. Store note: improved Chinese language support (the game’s language pack, not this wiki). We still do not publish Simplified Chinese wiki pages.
• Requirements: iOS 12 or later, about 56.7 MB, Family Sharing listed, iPhone-first. macOS is not fully verified on the listing we checked.

The App Store blurb still includes the Android-era Premium and hint paragraphs. Check your purchase sheet for an actual IAP before you assume iOS sells a second unlock. The puzzles match Android and Steam.

Steam (PC, 31 August 2026)

• App ID 4700560, developer and publisher Dark Dome Studios, franchise tag Dark Dome.
• Price: $2.99 USD on the US store, region-priced, no in-app purchases.
• Reviews at check: 21 user reviews, 85% Positive.
• Minimum spec: Windows 7-class OS, 1.6 GHz CPU, 1024 MB RAM, integrated graphics, 100 MB disk, any sound card.
• Steam Deck: compatibility Unknown — do not claim a Verified badge.
• Languages: thirty interface/subtitle languages on the store page, including English, French, German, and Spanish.
• Bundle: Dark Dome Collection, nine titles, 15% off.

The PC build is the same abandoned house, not a remake. Mouse notes: controls. Store sheet: Steam launch.

What none of these versions added

• A second room or an attic
• Multiplayer
• Redeemable weekly codes
• A frozen, universal plant combination (5364 is still an example)
• The rest of Hidden Town inside this app ID

How to read a “new update” rumor

If a thumbnail says the safe code changed in 2026, the creator met randomization. If a store listing says “First version” in August 2026, that is a leftover what’s-new string. If someone claims Steam unlocked extra wings on day one, they have not pulled the lever yet. Confirm binaries on the three official storefronts, then come back to codes for methods.

This wiki stamps the current month on titles so search results look dated. The facts on this page change only when Dark Dome ships a real binary. Until a patch adds a room — it has not — count your own leaves.
