The Girl in the Window Puzzle Codes
Methods for every lock. Your numbers will not match a video, and that is normal.
“Codes” on this wiki does not mean a Roblox-style gift box. The Girl in the Window has no redeemable promo strings. Codes are the padlocks, drawers, and safes inside the abandoned house. Every high-traffic search — safe code, plant code, symbol lock, password — lands here because Dark Dome randomizes the digits and glyphs each playthrough.
If you came from a YouTube thumbnail that showed 5364, stop. That number is one of several legal plant-box rolls, not a universal key. Learn the method, then type what your room shows. The randomized puzzles page is the short lecture. The pages below are the locks.
The locks people search
- Plant / leaf code — four-digit box on the boarded-door cabinet. Count leaves. Order comes from notebook silhouettes.
- Symbol lock — cupboard under the bookshelf (Roman numerals on a torn page) and later the window-padlock (curtain holes + lights off).
- Vampire safe — behind the painting. Offer garlic, cross, wine, and mirror in newspaper order, then copy the glyphs the portrait shows.
- TV dials — missing knob, VHS still, line positions, plastic handle.
- Window padlock — outdoor lamp, closed curtain, indoor lights off, notebook squares.
- Randomized puzzles — the master list of what shuffles versus what stays nailed down.
The complete walkthrough strings these locks into one escape path. Use this hub when you are staring at a single close-up.
How to read a code the Dark Dome way
- Open the gray notebook from the bookshelf. If a page is torn, combine the coat scrap first.
- Find the diagram that matches the object in front of you: pots, circles, vampire, window squares.
- Collect the live data in the room (leaf counts, clippings, projection symbols).
- Apply the book’s order, not the order you happened to notice the objects.
- Enter the result on the lock. If it fails, you used room order instead of book order, or you counted a pot that only looked similar.
The puzzle notebook tool is a checklist of which notebook page feeds which lock so you stop flipping blindly.
What is not a code
- The TV dials are a visual match to the VHS still, not a numeric password.
- The electrical box is a rotate-the-tiles puzzle. Wear the glove.
- The wallpaper letter (often M) is a 3×3 path for a cupboard grid, not a word you type elsewhere.
- There are no weekly creator codes, Trello drops, or Discord strings. Anyone selling those for this game is mixing it up with a live-service title.
Why comments under videos are angry
Inkagamer, zAppTheory, Allele, and SavePoint all recorded real playthroughs. Their numbers were true for that save. A 2026 comment that says “5364 did not work” is not proof the video is fake. It is proof the viewer skipped the method. Bookmark this hub instead of pausing on a digit overlay.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where do I redeem codes in-game?
You do not. These are puzzle combinations, entered on drawers and the safe, not in a shop menu.
What is the safe code?
It changes. Build it with the pinboard order and the four offerings. Full method: vampire safe.
Why did 5364 fail?
It is one possible plant code. Count your own pots.
